CMC Movie & Awards Night – Sept 22nd

This year we are continuing the annual CMC Movie night and combining it with the presentation of the 2022 CMC Mountaineer of the Year and the Mahi Aroha Award.

This will be alongside the Premiere of Nick Kowalski’s film ‘Enchainment’ which follows Alastair McDowell & Hamish Fleming as they set out on a quest to enchain New Zealand’s 24 highest mountains above 3000 meters in a continuous 31-day push. There will be a selection of other films showing the history of Mountaineering in Canterbury and CMC.

This event is a fundraiser for the CMC Centenary Book due for completion in 2025 to commemorate 100-years of the CMC.

Date: September 22nd, 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM showing.

Location: Heaton Normal Intermediate School (125 Heaton Street, Strowan).
