In this year's Kennedy Lecture, Ross Cullen will share the story behind Bill McLeod: Mountaineering Legend, drawing on Bill’s own words, letters and contributions from his climbing partners. The result is a rare glimpse into the mind and character of an enigmatic mountaineer who aimed high, set his own rules and always did things his way.

Ross first climbed with Bill in 1988 and was fortunate to join him on 17 first ascents. A past President of the New Zealand Alpine Club and chair of Tūpiki Trust, Ross brings a unique perspective to Bill’s remarkable climbing story.
