ACCESS

Located at the White Horse Hill car park in the Hooker Valley, near the Mueller Hut track trailhead. From the end of Hooker Valley Road, turn left as you enter the car park. 

FACILITIES

• 16 bunks, warden’s room, and communal spaces.
• Solar lighting, gas cooking, Wood heater, internal hot shower, and flush toilets.
• Power sockets, fridge, lounge/dining area, stainless steel kitchen with sink, cookware, cutlery, and crockery.
• Resident hut warden Cam Mulvey offers local route beta, weather insights, and a warm welcome.
• Hut library stocked with NZ mountain literature for stormy days.

RULES

• Payment:
  - Fees: $20/night for CMC members; $50/night for non-members. 
  - Non-members must be accompanied by a CMC member.
  - Children under 12 stay free.
• Access Code: Sent via email after payment. Code changes weekly.

HISTORY

Built in 1956 as a mountaineering base, Wyn Irwin Lodge was extensively refurbished in 1991.
