Mt Princess Beginner Trip – Grade 1 – 18th-19th October
Intro: Join us for the “lazy persons” version of Mt Princess where we wait until the access road to open again so we can drive up and set off from Mailing Pass. This will be a fun, social trip with some incredible views in the St James Conservation Area.
Itinerary: Leave Ōtautahi between 4-5pm on the Friday (18th), tent/car camp at Lake Tennyson. 5am start on the Saturday (219h) to drive up to Mailing Pass, we’ll need a 4WD to access this so if you are willing to contribute, let me know!
Previous experience/skills required: Able to use crampons, ice axe and avalanche equipment
Gear required: Helmet, ice axe, crampons, sturdy boots, avo gear, sleeping bag/tent
Plan B: Look for another Grade 1 in a different area
