CMC is planning to publish a book for the upcoming CMC centenary in 2025. The centenary book will showcase CMC activities over the last 100 years with an emphasis on climbing and exploration. The book will have many writers, mostly volunteer club members and associates, knitted together by an editor.
We aim to make the book an interesting and engaging read for CMC members and the wider outdoor community. It will cover a range of topics, predominiantly CMC climbing and exploration, but also other aspects of the club such as hut building and club culture.
We will be fundraising for the book project, including from book sales, and fundraising events. We have set up a page for donations to the book project HERE.
Over the next few months, we will be looking for authors to write the book content. We’ll also need illustrations, including photographs and artwork. If you would be interested in contributing and would like more information about the project, please contact Rachel ([email protected]).
