Intro: Let’s try this again! A social trip for all levels into the CMC Cameron Hut. This is a “meet” rather than a “trip”, so we will share the approach to the hut, share beta and thoughts about weather & conditions etc, but we will be climbing independently on different mountains. Sign up with a climbing partner or two, pick your objective and come along for a great social weekend in the Arrowsmiths!

Date: Sep 16 – 18 2022
Itinerary: Walk in to Cameron Hut Friday afternoon setting off from Cameron Valley trailhead no later than 3 pm for a 4-5 hour approach to Cameron Hut. Saturday, climb a route(s) on one of the nearby peaks e.g. Mt Arrowsmith, Couloir Peak, or The Marquee. Sunday, walkout.
Previous experience required: Confidence using ice axe and crampons, avalanche awareness, navigation, etc. However, there are options to suit everybody’s experience level.
Gear required: Avalanche gear, ice axe, and crampons.
Plan B: Postpone to a different weekend.
