CMC March to The Marquee! You are probably asking yourself right now, ‘what can I achieve in the mountains with just one day off work for ANZAC day? Or you may have recently attended the CMC Sky Running series and are itching for more. This trip is the answer to those questions.
This ANZAC day we will head up into the Arrowsmiths for a day trip up to The Marquee. 37km with 1900m of vert along non-technical terrain. – this will be a massive day out and will not be suitable for beginners.

Date: 25th March, with camping near the start of the Cameron Hut track on Wednesday 24th April so we can head off early and use all available daylight.
Itinerary: Up the Cameron Hut route to Cameron hut on the morning of the 25th April, then up the south west ridge to the top of The Marquee and returning back to the car the same day – may be 14+ hours long
Previous experience required: High level of Fitness required -enough fitness move quickly over mountain terrain all day. long day trail running experience, mountaineering and fast scrambling expereince etc. Note: this trip is not suitable for beginners.
Gear required: Helmet, trail running gear, warm clothes, microspikes may be needed depending on weather, ect.
