Itinerary/Plan: Surely the norwester will let up and allow a beautiful day in Arthur’s Pass on the weekend of 28/29th. If so it would be fun to trot up Mt Aicken and explore the tops in that area. This will be a day trip beginning at Kennedy Lodge so we will drive up on Friday after dinner to sleep there, and will drive back on Saturday afternoon
Leader: Adam Campbell ([email protected]) or find me on social media for questions
Date: Saturday 28th Sept
Previous experience: This is a grade one trip. Ideally you have done a snowcraft course and have used an ice axe and crampons before. We will be going very steep uphill and then spending some time up high in the open so you will need some fitness, experience on rough terrain, and experience using gear to stay warm and comfortable up on the tops. If you have any questions I am happy to discuss.
Gear Required: Ice axe, crampons and suitable boots. Good quality winter clothing, sunglasses, gloves and helmet.
Plan B:If Saturday is looking poor then we can shift to Sunday.
