Intro: Mt Murchison
Leader: Simon Binney
Date: 26 – 27 August
Itinerary: Early start to drive up to Klondyke Corner Saturday morning, up the Waimak to Barker Hut. Sunday morning climb Mt Murchinson via the White Glacier route then walk out.
Previous experience required: Glacier travel and comfortable on moderate snow slopes / terrain.
Gear required: overnight hut gear, ice axe(s), crampons, Avi gear, helmet, headtorch and glacier travel gear (rope, prussiks, slings, ATC, snow stake + any other glacier rescue kit you want to take)
Plan B: an awesome adventure up some of the peaks near kennedy.
