Date: 1-3rd of December
Pinnacles Hut near Mt Somners is about 2 hrs hike from Sharplin Falls carpark. There is a range of climbs at various grades, mostly trad with some bolts.It is really eerie looking with some interesting hikes nearby. The hut maybe be full of trampers but there is a campsite nearby, lots of fun to be had in a freindly social enviroment and a great way to meet new potential climbing/mountaineering partners!
DOC hut fees $25 per night for a bed. Camping is $12.50. Bookings required, hut warden might be present.We leave Ch about 6pm Friday night, drive to Sharplin falls and hike in.Alternatively you could arrive Sat or Sun morning.
If you don’t have a climbing partner tell us snd what grade you can lead/follow and we will arrange a match.
Remember, as with all with CMC trips – leaders are not guides, you are responsible for your own safety, you must be confident that your own capability and experieince is sufficent for the trip – if you have questions or concerns its always better to ask.

Previous experience required: variation of skills required based on intended mission, at minimum must have mountaineering skills to a grade 1-1+ level!
Gear required: You will need harness, rock boots, access to a rope, quickdraws and possibly natural pro.
