Description: This 3-day course is designed to be a stepping stone for those who have completed their Introduction to Mountaineering course but aren’t yet ready for an Intermediate Mountaineering course. This course will introduce you to climbing steeper terain and the equipment and skills required to progress to more advanced mountaineering. Technical equipment will be required (rope, harness, belay device etc.) but for this course you are not yet expected to be proficent in using it (unlike Intermediate Mountaineering).

Pre-requisites: A solid base of a minimum of 5 grade 1 peaks and trips. Participants should be comfortable with crampons and ice axe on grade 1/2 terrain. Contact [email protected] if you have any queries.

Cost: $600pp – Includes 3 nights accomodation and 3 days instruction.

Date: 15th -17th August – Meet at Kennedy Lodge 7.30pm Thursday night.
