A taste of the Arrowsmiths with great access from CMC’s Cameron Hut. Park off the Hakatere-Heron road, about 2 hours from Christchurch. Its 14km (4-5 hours) walk up the Cameron valley to Cameron Hut, a great place to stay overnight. Climb up and down the south-west ridge of The Marquee for great views of Mt Arrowsmith and the Cameron Glaciers.
